Reactivity
- Human

Host
- Rabbit
-
Clonality
- Polyclonal
-
Application
- Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunodiffusion (ID), Immunoelectrophoresis (IEP)
- Specificity
- The reactivity of the antiserum is restricted to subclass specific determinants on IgG3. In immuno-electrophoresis and radial immunodiffusion, using various antiserum concentrations against normal human serum a single precipitin line is obtained which shows a reaction of identity with the precipitin line obtained with purified IgG3. No precipitation reaction is obtained with purified other subclasses of IgG, IgA, IgM, and IgG/Fab fragmentsPrecipitating polyclonal rabbit antiserum to human IgG3, subclass specific
- Characteristics
- Total protein and IgG concentrations in the antiserum are comparable to those of pooled normal rabbit serum. Antibody titre: Precipitin titre 1:32 when tested in agar-block immunodiffusion titration against human serum with appr
- Purification
-
Delipidated, heat inactivated, lyophilized, stable whole antiserum
Immunoaffinity adsorbed using insolubilized antigens as required, to eliminate antibodies cross-reacting with other subclasses of IgG, other components of the immunoglobulin system or reacting with other serum proteins. Special attention is given to the removal of antibodies to common Ig/Fab. The use of insolubilized adsorption antigens prevents the presence of excess adsorbent protein or immune complexes in the antiserum. - Immunogen
- Highly purified homogenous IgG3 isolated from human serum. Freund's complete adjuvant is used in the first step of the immunization procedure.
- Isotype
- IgG

- Application Notes
- In precipitating techniques as immunoelectrophoresis and radial immunodiffusion to identify the presence of IgG3 in human serum or other body fluids or to determine its concentration. The antiserum is not intended for use in non-precipitating antibody-binding or other highly sensitive techniques. For such uses labelled and unlabelled cytochemical grade mouse monoclonal reagents meeting the necessary additional specificity and performance requirements are available.
- Restrictions
- For Research Use only
-
- Format
- Lyophilized
- Reconstitution
- Reconstitute the lyophilized antiserum by adding 1 mL sterile distilled water.
- Buffer
- No foreign proteins added.
- Preservative
- Without preservative
- Handling Advice
- Dilutions may be prepared by adding phosphate buffered saline (PBS, pH 7. 2). Repeated thawing and freezing should be avoided. If a slight precipitation occurs upon storage, this should be removed by centrifugation. It will not affect the performance of the antiserum. Diluted antiserum should be stored at +4 °C, not ref rozen, and preferably used the same day.
- Storage
- 4 °C/-20 °C
- Storage Comment
- The lyophilized antiserum is shipped at ambient temperature and may be stored at +4 °C, prolonged storage at or below -24 °C.
