    Rockland
    Purpose
Mouse IgG2a (Gamma 2a chain) Antibody Fluorescein Conjugated
    Cross-Reactivity (Details)
Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Fluorescein, anti-Rabbit Serum, Mouse IgG and Mouse Serum.  Specificity was confirmed by ELISA.
    Characteristics
Anti-Mouse IgG1 Fluorescein Antibody generated in rabbit detects reactivity to Mouse IgG1 (Gamma 1 chain).
    Purification
This product was prepared from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity chromatography using Mouse IgG2a coupled to agarose beads followed by solid phase adsorption(s) against a panel of immobilized mouse and human serum proteins resulting in a conjugated antibody designed for flow cytometry.
    Immunogen
    Optional[Immunogen]: Mouse IgG2a heavy chain
    Isotype
    IgG
  • Application Notes

    Target Type
    Antibody
    Background
Secreted as part of the adaptive immune response by plasma B cells, immunoglobulin G constitutes 75 % of serum immunoglobulins. IgG2, the second largest of IgG isotypes, comprises almost 25 % of IgG and has a low affinity for binding to the Fc receptor of phagocytic cells. Secondary Antibodies are available in a variety of formats and conjugate types. When choosing a secondary antibody product, consideration must be given to species and immunoglobulin specificity, conjugate type, fragment and chain specificity, level of cross-reactivity, and host-species source and fragment composition.
