- Purpose
- Mouse IgG2a (Gamma 2a chain) Antibody Alkaline Phosphatase Conjugated
- Cross-Reactivity (Details)
- Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Alkaline Phosphatase (calf intestine) and anti-Rabbit Serum. Specificity was confirmed by ELISA at less than 1 % cross reactivity against other mouse heavy or light chain isotypes.
- Characteristics
- Anti-Mouse IgG1 Alkaline Phosphatase Antibody generated in rabbit detects reactivity to Mouse IgG1 (Gamma 1 chain).
- Purification
- This product was prepared from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity chromatography using antigens coupled to agarose beads followed by solid phase adsorption(s) to remove any unwanted reactivities.
- Sterility
- Sterile filtered
- Immunogen
- Optional[Immunogen]: Mouse IgG2a heavy chain

- Application Notes
- Application Note: Anti-Mouse IgG2a Alkaline Phosphatase antibody has been tested by ELISA, dot blot, and western blot This antibody is assayed against 1.0 μg of Mouse IgG in a standard capture ELISA using pNPP p-nitrophenyl phosphate code # NPP-10 as a substrate for 30 minutes at room temperature. A working dilution of 1:1,000 to 1:5,000 is suggested for this product. Immunohistochemistry Dilution: 1:200 - 1:1,000 Western Blot Dilution: 1:500 - 1:2,500 ELISA Dilution: 1:2,000 - 1:10,000

- Background
- Secreted as part of the adaptive immune response by plasma B cells, immunoglobulin G constitutes 75 % of serum immunoglobulins. IgG2, the second largest of IgG isotypes, comprises almost 25 % of IgG and has a low affinity for binding to the Fc receptor of phagocytic cells. Secondary Antibodies are available in a variety of formats and conjugate types. When choosing a secondary antibody product, consideration must be given to species and immunoglobulin specificity, conjugate type, fragment and chain specificity, level of cross-reactivity, and host-species source and fragment composition.
