ELISA, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Western Blotting (WB), Dot Blot (DB)
    Supplier Product No.
    610-4541
    Supplier
    Rockland
    Purpose
Mouse IgG2a (Gamma 2a chain) Antibody Alkaline Phosphatase Conjugated
    Cross-Reactivity (Details)
Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Alkaline Phosphatase (calf intestine) and anti-Rabbit Serum.  Specificity was confirmed by ELISA at less than 1 % cross reactivity against other mouse heavy or light chain isotypes.
    Characteristics
Anti-Mouse IgG1 Alkaline Phosphatase Antibody generated in rabbit detects reactivity to Mouse IgG1 (Gamma 1 chain).
    Purification
This product was prepared from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity chromatography using antigens coupled to agarose beads followed by solid phase adsorption(s) to remove any unwanted reactivities.
    Sterility
    Sterile filtered
    Immunogen
    Optional[Immunogen]: Mouse IgG2a heavy chain
    Isotype
    IgG
  • Application Notes
Application Note: Anti-Mouse IgG2a Alkaline Phosphatase antibody has been tested by ELISA, dot blot, and western blot This antibody is assayed against 1.0 μg of Mouse IgG in a standard capture ELISA using pNPP p-nitrophenyl phosphate code # NPP-10 as a substrate for 30 minutes at room temperature.  A working dilution of 1:1,000 to 1:5,000 is suggested for this product. Immunohistochemistry Dilution: 1:200 - 1:1,000 Western Blot Dilution: 1:500 - 1:2,500 ELISA Dilution: 1:2,000 - 1:10,000

    Target Type
    Antibody
    Background
Secreted as part of the adaptive immune response by plasma B cells, immunoglobulin G constitutes 75 % of serum immunoglobulins. IgG2, the second largest of IgG isotypes, comprises almost 25 % of IgG and has a low affinity for binding to the Fc receptor of phagocytic cells. Secondary Antibodies are available in a variety of formats and conjugate types. When choosing a secondary antibody product, consideration must be given to species and immunoglobulin specificity, conjugate type, fragment and chain specificity, level of cross-reactivity, and host-species source and fragment composition.
