- Application Notes
- Partially purified CYFRA 21-1 to be used to make standards, calibrators and is recommended for use in multiple tumor marker analyte controls.
- Restrictions
- For Research Use only
-
- Buffer
- PBS, pH 7.4, with 0.1 % NaN3.
- Preservative
- Sodium azide
- Precaution of Use
- WARNING: Reagents contain sodium azide. Sodium azide is very toxic if ingested or inhaled. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. Wear eye or face protection when handling. If skin or eye contact occurs, wash with copious amounts of water. If ingested or inhaled, contact a physician immediately. Sodium azide yields toxic hydrazoic acid under acidic conditions. Dilute azide-containing compounds in running water before discarding to avoid accumulation of potentially explosive deposits in lead or copper plumbing.

Cytokeratin 19 Fragment (CYFRA 21-1). CYFRA 21-1 is a prognostic marker in patients with non-small cell lung cancer. Among tumor marker tests for non-small cell lung cancer, CYFRA 21-1 has consistently been shown to have the highest diagnostic sensitivity (~70 percent).
Description: Human breast adenocarcinoma cell line.
