- Background
- Enables proton-dependent oligopeptide secondary active transmembrane transporter activity. Involved in germinal center B cell differentiation, marginal zone B cell differentiation, and spleen development. Acts upstream of or within calcium-dependent cell-cell adhesion via plasma membrane cell adhesion molecules, homophilic cell adhesion via plasma membrane adhesion molecules, and oligopeptide transport. Located in cell surface and plasma membrane. Is expressed in several structures, including common bile duct, gut, spleen, trunk, and urogenital sinus. Orthologous to human CDH17 (cadherin 17). - Molecular Weight
- predicted molecular mass of 85.1 kDa after removal of the signal peptide. The apparent molecular mass of mCDH17-His is 70-130 kDa due to glycosylation.
