- Background
-
Abbreviation: PRRG3
Target Synonym: Transmembrane gamma-carboxyglutamic acid protein 3,PRRG3,Proline-rich gamma-carboxyglutamic acid protein 3
Background: This gene encodes proline-rich gamma-carboxyglutamic acid protein 3, a member of vitamin K-dependent membrane proteins containing gamma-carboxyglutamic acid residues. The encoded precursor protein contains an N-terminal propeptide that is required for the carboxylation of glutamate residues in the mature protein. Alternate splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants that encode the same protein.
