- Background
- Interferon- alpha is cytokines that are widely known to induce potent anti-viral activity . Interferon -alpha exerts a variety of other biological effects, including antitumor and immunomodulatory activities and are increasingly used clinically to treat a range of malignancies, myelodysplasias and autoimmune diseases. Recombinant human Interferon-alpha was expressed in E.coli and purified by conventional chromatography, after refolding of the isolated inclusion bodies in a renaturation buffer.
