- Background
- EFNB1, also known as ephrin-B1, is a member of Eph family. It binds to the receptor tyrosine kinases EPHB1 and EPHA1. This protein also binds Eph receptors residing on adjacent cells which affect signaling to neighboring cells. It plays a role in cellular migration, axon guidance, osteoclast differentiation and function, cardiac muscle morphogenesis, and tumorigenesis. Recombinant human EFNB1 protein, fused to hIgG-His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
