- Background
- Ppid, also known as Peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase D, is a member of peptidyl-propyl cis-trans isomerase (Pplase) family, which catalyzes the cis-trans isomerization of proline imidic peptide bonds in oligopeptides and accelerates the folding of proteins. This protein can bind to the immunosuppressant cyclosporine A and was known that its overexpression the apoptosis in caner cells. Recombinant mouse Ppid protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
