- Background
- GSTP2 also known as Gltathione S-transferase P2. Glutathione S-transferases are multifunctional enzymes involved in the protection of cellular components against anti-cancer drugs or peroxidative stress. Downregulation of GSTP2 may induce an increase of oxidative damage in the pyramidal cells of the CA1 and CA3 regions and granular layer of the dentate gyrus, leading to structural and functional damage. Recombinant mouse GSTP2 was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
