- Background
- Signal recognition particle 19 kDa protein, also known as SRP19, belongs to the SRP19 family. This protein binds directly to 7S RNA and mediates binding of the 54 kDa subunit of the SRP. Recombinant human SRP19 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
