  • Application Notes
This product is suitable for immunoblotting (Western or Dot blot), ELISA, immunoperoxidase electron microscopy, and immunohistochemistry as well as other peroxidase-antibody based enzymatic assays requiring lot-to-lot consistency. The investigator must determine the ideal working concentration for each specific application. We have not yet determined the suitability of this antibody for applications other than those listed below. The ideal working concentration must take into account such factors as secondary antibody affinity, antigen concentration, sensitivity of the detection method, temperature, and the length of the incubations. The suitability of this antibody for applications other than those listed below has not been determined. The following concentration ranges are recommended starting points for this product. Dot blot: 1:5,000-1:20,000Western blot: 1:5,000-1:20,000ELISA: 1:50,000-1:250,000Immunohistology: 1:500-1:2,500

    Abstract
    Protein A Products
    Background
Staphylococcal Protein A binds strongly and specifically to the Fc region of immunoglobulin molecules, especially IgG of many species such as Human, Rabbit, Pig, etc. The product contains five high affinity binding sites that are capable of interacting with the Fc region of IgG. HRP-Protein A is produced by covalently linking HRP to Protein A, which can be used in immuno-detection such as immunoblotting (Western or Dot blot), ELISA, and immunohistochemistry.
