- Background
- DNA/RNA-binding protein KIN17, also known as KIN17, is a nuclear protein that forms intranuclear foci during proliferation and is redistributed in the nucleoplasm during the cell cycle. KIN17 is ubiqutiously expressed with the highest levels of expression in muscle, heart and testis. SV40-transformed fibroblasts overexpress KIN17, which interacts with Large T antigen and reduces T-antigen-dependent DNA replication. Recombinant human KIN17 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
