- Characteristics
-
A synthetic peptide for use as a blocking control in assays to test for specificity of NOTCH1 antibody,
Alternative Names: NOTCH1 control peptide, NOTCH1 antibody Blocking Peptide, Anti-NOTCH1 Blocking Peptide, Notch homolog 1, translocation-associated, Drosophila Blocking Peptide, TAN1 Blocking Peptide, hN1 Blocking Peptide, NOTCH1, NOTCH-1, NOTCH 1, NOTCH-1 Blocking Peptide, NOTCH 1 Blocking Peptide - Purification
- The antibody is affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific phosphopeptide. The antibody against non-phosphopeptide is removed by chromatography using non-phosphopeptide corresponding to the phosphorylation site.

- Background
- NOTCH1 is a member of the Notch family. Notch family members play a role in a variety of developmental processes by controlling cell fate decisions. The Notch signaling network is an evolutionarily conserved intercellular signaling pathway which regulates interactions between physically adjacent cells. This protein is cleaved in the trans-Golgi network, and presented on the cell surface as a heterodimer. This protein functions as a receptor for membrane bound ligands, and may play multiple roles during development.
