    Characteristics
A synthetic peptide for use as a blocking control in assays to test for specificity of AARS antibody,
Alternative Names: AARS control peptide, AARS antibody Blocking Peptide, Anti-AARS Blocking Peptide, Alanyl-tRNA Synthetase Blocking Peptide
    Purification
This product was prepared from monospecific antiserum by a delipidation anddefibrination. Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against purified and partiallypurified Elastase [Porcine Pancreas]. Cross reactivity against Elastase from other tissues and species may occurbut have not been specifically determined.

    AARS (Alanyl tRNA Synthetase (AARS))
    Background
The human alanyl-tRNA synthetase (AARS) belongs to a family of tRNA synthases, of the class II enzymes. Class II tRNA synthases evolved early in evolution and are highly conserved. This is reflected by the fact that 498 of the 968-residue polypeptide human AARS shares 41 % identity witht the E.coli protein.
    Molecular Weight
    107 kDa
