Cell ELISA Kits
"Cell ELISA" also known as In-Cell ELISA, Cell-based ELISA or In-Cell Western is a quantitative immunocytochemistry method to measure protein levels or posttranslational modifications of cultured cells. Representing a simple, sensitive method for intracellular protein quantification in whole cells. Cell ELISA are perfectly suitable to monitor effects of stimulation and/or inhibition of treatments, compounds (e.g. siRNA, chemicals) on target molecules.
Cell-ELISA offers a few key advantages as a method. Measurement of the antigenic target in live cultured cells negates any interference or confounding effect from use of harsh lysis reagents. Additionally, the in-cell method is faster, more scalable, and higher throughput than other comparable proteomic methods like Western Blotting and/or sandwich ELISA. Cell ELISA are convenient and efficient for daily use. Cell-based ELISA kits require live, adherent cells for measurement, and are thus not suitable for measuring standard sample types like plasma, serum, or tissue culture media. Instead researchers looking to assay these sample types should choose a traditional sandwich or competitive format ELISA. See hundreds of cellular assays in our catalog below!
