- Application Notes
- Anti-glucose oxidase antibody has been assayed against 1.0 ug of Glucose Oxidase [Aspergillus niger] in a standard sandwich ELISA using Peroxidase conjugated Affinity Purified anti-Goat IgG and (ABTS (2,2’-azino-bis-[3-ethylbenthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid]) substrate for 30 minutes at room temperature. A working dilution of 1:1,000 to 1:4,000 of the reconstitution concentration is suggested for this product. Optimal concentration should be determined by the researcher.

- Background
-
Glucose oxidase antibody is specific to glucose oxidase enzyme. Glucose oxidase is an oxido-reductase that catalyses the oxidation of glucose to hydrogen peroxide and D-glucono-δ-lactone. Glucose oxidase is commonly used for the determination of free glucose in body fluids (diagnostics), and in the food industry. It also has many applications in biotechnologies, for example enzyme assays for biochemistry including biosensors in nanotechnologies. Glucose oxidase is often extracted from Aspergillus niger.
