Application
- Western Blotting (WB), ELISA
- Specificity
- This product is an IgG fraction antibody purified from monospecific antiserum by a multi-step process which includes delipidation, salt fractionation and ion exchange chromatography followed by extensive dialysis against the buffer stated above. This antibody is specific for mouse MIP-1alpha protein. Cross-reactivity with MIP-1alpha from other sources has not been determined.
- Characteristics
- Mouse MIP-1alpha, or Ccl3, of the intercrine beta (chemokine CC family) is a secreted cytokine with inflammatory, pyrogenic and chemokinetic properties. It is expressed in lung, spleen, and pancreas, and has a potent chemotactic activity for eosinophils. Ccl3 binding to a high-affinity receptor activates calcium release in neutrophils.

- Application Notes
- This purified antibody has been tested for use in ELISA and western blotting. Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user. Expect a band approximately 7-8 kDa in size corresponding to the mature 92 amino acid mouse MIP-1α/Ccl3 protein by western blotting in appropriate cell lysate or extract.
