Synonyms: Dystrobrevin beta, DTN-B, Beta-dystrobrevin, DTNB
Background: Dystrobrevin beta is a component of the dystrophin-associated protein complex and interacts with dystrophin short form DP71, syntrophins SNTG1 and SNTG2. It localizes to the sarcolemma and its disruption is associated with various forms of muscular dystrophy. 4 isoforms produced by alternative splicing have been identified.
