- Background
- Background: Hapsin is a serine-threonine protein kinase that was originally identified as a cDNA expressed specifically in mouse testicular germ cells. Haspin associates with the chromosomes, centrosomes, and spindle and is critical for proper chromosome alignment and segregation. Haspin is responsible for the phosphorylation of histone H3 at threonine 3.
