- Background
- Background: CDT1 is involved in the formation of pre-replicative complexes (preRC) at origins of replication. Under tight regulation, CDT1 associates with chromatin during G1 in a dynamic manner to promote the loading of mini-chromosome maintenance (MCM) complex in preparation for replication. CDT1 is negatively regulated by ubiquitin-directed degradation and has been demonstrated to be protected from ubiquitination by the protein geminin.
