- Background
- Background: TRRAP is a common component of histone acetyltransferase (HAT) complexes and functions as an adaptor protein that recruits HAT complexes to chromatin during transcription, replication, and DNA repair. TRRAP has been shown to play a key role in c-Myc-mediated transcription and transformation. TRAPP has also been observed to interact with many other transcription factors including p53, E2F1, E2F4, and the E1A viral oncoprotein.
