- Background
- Background: Ninein is a centrosomal protein that associates with the minus-end of microtubules. It serves as an anchor and nucleation point for microtubule elongation from the pericentriolar material (PCM). Ninein also acts as an anchoring protein at apical sites in polarized epithelial cells to assemble non-centrosomal apico-basal arrays.
