    Background
Background: CEP97 (centrosomal protein of 97 kDa) has been identified as part of a complex with CP110. Together, CP110 and CEP97 have been shown to play a role in the assembly of cilia. Loss of CEP97 or CEP110 promotes cilia formation while forced expression inhibits ciliogenesis.
