    Background
Background: Human centrosomal protein POC5 is a homolog of the C. reinhardtii POC5 (proteome of centriole 5). Human POC5 was identified in a two-hybrid screen to identify proteins interacting with centrin proteins hCen2 and hCen3. Human POC5 has been shown to be required for the assembly of full-length centrioles.
