- Target
- KCTD12 (Potassium Channel Tetramerisation Domain Containing 12 (KCTD12))
- Alternative Name
- Pfetin (KCTD12 Products)
- Background
- Background: Pfetin (predominantly fetal expressed T1 domain) was identified by subtractive hybridization and differential screening of human fetal cochlear cDNA clones. Pfetin contains a voltage-gated postassium (K+) channel tetramerization (T1) domain and has been found to interact as a tetramer with GABRB1 and GABRB2. Pfetin has also been identified as a prognostic biomarker of gastrointestinal stromal tumors.
