    Background
Background: The protein G-rich sequence factor 1 is encoded by the gene GRSF1. G-rich sequence factor 1 is a cellular protein that binds RNAs containing the G-rich element. The protein is localized in the cytoplasm, and has been shown to stimulate translation of viral mRNAs in vitro [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 2926)].
