Background
Background: Sorting nexin-16 (SNX16) may be involved in several stages of intracellular trafficking. SNX16 plays a role in protein transport from early to late endosomes. It also plays a role in protein transport to the lysosome and in intracellular transport of vesicular stomatitis virus nucleocapsids from the endosome to the cytoplasm [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) P57768].
