    Background
Background: G9A/EHMT2 is a histone H3-Lys-9 methyltransferase. G9A/EHMT2 has been shown to function as a corepressor by associating with transcriptional regulators such as CDP/cut, Blimp-1/PRDI-BF1, and REST/NRSF. G9A/EHMT2 has also been shown to function as a coactivator for a large family of nuclear receptors.
