- Background
-
Background: Mannosyltransferase involved in glycosylphosphatidylinositol-anchor biosynthesis. Transfers a fourth mannose to some trimannosyl-GPIs during GPI precursor assembly. The presence of a fourth mannose in GPI is facultative and only scarcely detected, suggesting that it only exists in some tissues.
Aliases: PIGZ antibody, SMP3 antibody, GPI mannosyltransferase 4 antibody, EC 2.4.1.- antibody, GPI mannosyltransferase IV antibody, GPI-MT-IV antibody, Phosphatidylinositol-glycan biosynthesis class Z protein antibody, PIG-Z antibody, SMP3 homolog antibody, hSMP3 antibody
