- CD83 FITC Antibody
- Characteristics
- The clone HB15e produces an antibody that recognizes specifically a cell surface type I glycoprotein having 40-45 kDa single chain known as CD83. It is a member of immunoglobulin superfamily, mostly expressed on circulating and tissue dendritic cells, including Langerhans cells and interdigitating reticulum cells. It is also expressed weakly on activated lymphocytes, neutrophils, monocytes and macrophages. Several tumor cells also express CD83 and hence HB15e functions as a useful tool to explore tumor immunology.
