Background
α-taxilin is a novel binding partner of the syntaxin family which is implicated in intracellular vesicle trafficking. Through its C-terminal coiled-coil region, α-taxilin interacts with the nascent polypeptide-associated complex (NAC), which acts as a transcriptional coactivator.
