This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
Immunogen
This XPA antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 221-250 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human XPA.
XPA is involved in DNA excision repair. It initiates repair by binding to damaged sites with various affinities, depending on the photoproduct and the transcriptional state of the region. This protein is required for UV-induced CHK1 phosphorylation and the recruitment of CEP164 to cyclobutane pyrimidine dimmers (CPD), sites of DNA damage after UV irradiation.
