    HHHHHH

    Specificity

Recognizes the epitope of 6x His-tags encoded by many commercially available vectors, regardless of the tag's location in the fusion protein sequences (i.e.: reacts with N-terminal, C-terminal or internal 6x His-tags)

    Sensitivity

WB (with ECL): 1-2ng of His-tagged fusion proteins

    Purification

Protein A affinity chromatography from mouse ascites fluid

    Immunogen

HHHHHH (6x His) synthetic peptide conjugated to KLH

    Isotype

    IgG2b

    Product Specific Information

What can the Collagen 4 antibody ABIN5596835 be used for? This polyclonal collagen 4 antibody is unconjugated and has been validated for ELISA, IHC, IP and western blotting. Native collagen type 4 from human and bovine placenta was used as immunogen for the production of the COL4 antibody.

What validation data is available for this Collagen 4 antibody? The antibody has been referenced in 8 Pubmed publications to date and is characterized by high reliability. The references are given below. 9 images show the performance of the product in different applications.

What is the function of Collagen 4? Collagen type 4 is the major structural component of glomerular basement membranes, forming a 'chicken-wire' meshwork together with laminins, proteoglycans and entactin/nidogen. (Uniprot). The collagen 4 protein consists of an amino-terminal 7S domain, a triple-helix forming collagenous domain, and a carboxy-terminal non-collagenous domain. It functions as part of a heterotrimer and interacts with other extracellular matrix components such as perlecans, proteoglycans, and laminins. (NCBI)

  • Application Notes

WB (with ECL): 1:1000-3000 dilution (incubate for one hour at room temperature) / IS: 1:500-2000 dilution / For best results with other assays (e.g.: Dot, ELISA, IP, etc), please determine optimal working dilution by titration test
