- Application Notes
-
Peptide ELISA: 1/64000. Western blot: Preliminary experiments gave an approx 40 kDa band in Human Liver lysatesand an approx 100 kDa band in Human Heart lysates at 1 μg/mL. Please note that currentlywe cannot find an explanation in the literature for the bands we observe given thecalculated size of 37.0 kDda according to NP_006782.1. Immunohistochemistry on paraffin sections: Human Uterus shows nuclear staining in theepithelial cells of the endometrial glands. Recommended concentration: 2 - 4 μg/mL.

- Alternative Name
- MRG15 (MORF4L1 Products)
- Background
- MRG15 ia a component of the NuA4 histone acetyltransferase (HAT) complex which is involved in transcriptional activation of select genes principally by acetylation of nucleosomal histone H4 and H2A. This modification may both alter nucleosome - DNA interactions and promote interaction of the modified histones with other proteins which positively regulate transcription. This complex may be required for the activation of transcriptional programs associated with oncogene and proto-oncogene mediated growth induction, tumor suppressor mediated growth arrest and replicative senescence, apoptosis and DNA repair.Synonyms: FWP006, HSPC008, HSPC061, MORF-related gene 15 protein, MORF4L1, MRG15, MSL3-1 protein, Mortality factor 4-like protein 1, PP368, Transcription factor-like protein MRG15
