CD244
Reactivity: Human
WB
Host: Rabbit
Polyclonal
unconjugated
Application Notes
Peptide ELISA: 1/64000. Western blot: Approx 75 kDa band observed in Human Natural Killer (NK) cell lysates afterimmunoprecipitation with mouse monoclonal antibody C1.7 coupled to Protein G agarose(calculated MW of 41.5 kDa according to NP_057466.1). We do note that CD244 is aglycoprotein which makes a higher size band to be expected. Recommended concentration: 1 - 3 μg/mL. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
CD244 is expressed on all human NK cells, a subpopulation of T cells, basophils and monocytes. CD244 activates NK cell mediated cytotoxicity, induces secretion of IFN-gamma and matrix metalloproteinases, and NK cell invasiveness. Although there have been several molecules shown to interact with CD244, the signaling mechanism ofCD244-mediated activation of NK cells is still unknown. It is a high affinity receptor for CD48.Synonyms: NAIL, NK cell activation-inducing ligand, NK cell type I receptor protein 2B4, NKR2B4, Natural killer cell receptor 2B4
