- Target
- Hepatitis B Associated Antigen
- Reactivity
- Human
-
Host
-
Pig
-
Clonality
- Polyclonal
-
Conjugate
- Un-conjugated
-
Application
- Immunoprecipitation (IP), Ouchterlony Double Diffusion (ODD)
- Specificity
- Inter-species cross-reactivity of this antiserum has not been tested in detail.
- Characteristics
- Precipitating polyclonal swine antiserum to human hepatitis associated antigen
- Purification
- Adsorption: Immunoaffinity adsorbed using pooled human serum negative for the antigen, to eliminate antibodies reacting with other human serum proteins. The use of insolubilized adsorption antigens prevents the presence of excess adsorbent protein or immune complexes in the antiserum.
- Immunogen
- The immunogen has been prepared from sera of patients with hepatitis using gelfiltration Freund’s complete adjuvant is used in the first step of the immunization procedure.
- Isotype
- IgG

-
- Application Notes
- In precipitating techniques as counteroelectrophoresis and double radial immuno-diffusion (Ouchterlony) to identify the presence of hepatitis associated antigen.
- Restrictions
- For Research Use only
-
- Format
- Lyophilized
- Concentration
- Total protein and IgG concentrations in the antiserum are comparable to those of normal pooled swine serum. No foreign proteins added.
- Buffer
- Delipidated, heat inactivated, lyophilized, stable whole serum.
- Preservative
- Without preservative
- Storage
- 4 °C/-20 °C
- Storage Comment
- The lyophilized antiserum is shipped at ambient temperature and may be stored at +4°C, prolonged storage at or below -20°C. Reconstitute the lyophilized antiserum by adding 1 ml sterile distilled water. Dilutions may be prepared by adding phosphate buffered saline (PBS, pH 7.2). Repeated thawing and freezing should be avoided. If a slight precipitation occurs upon storage, this should be removed by centrifugation. It will not affect the performance of the antiserum. Diluted antiserum should be stored at +4°C, not ref rozen, and preferably used the same day.

- Target
- Hepatitis B Associated Antigen
- Alternative Name
- Hepatitis Associated Antigen
- Background
- The defined antibody specificity is to the hepatitis associated antigen as tested in counterelectrophoresis and double radial immunodiffusion against HAA positive human serum. The product does not react with normal human serum or plasma.
