Application
- Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunodiffusion (ID), Immunoelectrophoresis (IEP), Radial Immunodiffusion (RID)
- Specificity
- The reactivity of the antiserum is directed to the Fc and Fab subunits of IgG. It includes a certain degree of reactivity with other immunoglobulins via the common Fab portion. In immunoelectrophoresis against human serum a single characteristic precipitin line with a spur is usually obtained.
- Characteristics
- Total protein and IgG concentration in the antiserum are comparable to those of pooled goat serum. Antibody titre: Precipitin titre not less than 1:64 when tested against normal human serum in agar block titration.
- Purification
-
Delipidated, heat inactivated lyophilized stable whole serum
No adsorption required. - Immunogen
- Purified normal IgG isolated from pooled human serum. Freund's complete adjuvant is used in the first step of the immunization procedure.
- Isotype
- IgG

- Application Notes
- In immunoelectrophoresis and double radial immunodiffusion to identify the presence of IgG, as secondary antibody to precipitate the immunoglobulin in normal human serum, to prepare an immunoadsorbent for the production of Ig-free human serum, plasma or non-Ig preparations. This antiserum is not intended for use in non-precipitating antibody-binding or other highly sensitive assays. For such uses labelled and unlabelled cytochemical and immunoassay reagents meeting the necessary additional specificity and performance requirements are available.
- Restrictions
- For Research Use only
-
- Format
- Lyophilized
- Reconstitution
- It is reconstituted by adding 1 mL sterile distilled water.
- Buffer
- No foreign proteins added.
- Preservative
- Without preservative
- Handling Advice
- Working dilutions are prepared by adding sterile phosphate buffered saline (PBS, pH 7. 2). Repeated thawing and freezing should be avoided. Working dilutions should be stored at +4 °C, not refrozen, and preferably used the same da y. If a slight precipitation occurs upon storage, this should be removed by centrifugation. It will not affect the performance of the product.
- Storage
- 4 °C/-20 °C
- Storage Comment
- The lyophilized antiserum is shipped at ambient temperature and may be stored at +4 °C, prolonged storage at or below -24 °C.
