Peptide ELISA: Limit dilution 1: 8000. Western blot: Preliminary experiments gave an approx 38 kDa band in Human Spleenlysate and an approx 26 kDa in Human Lung lysate after 1 μg/mL antibody staining. Thebands were successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide. Please notethat according to the literature this protein is O-glycosylated (PMID: 12672699), which mayexplain the different sizes of bands we observe given the calculated size of 19.5 kDaaccording to NP_054883 and NP_659003. We would appreciate any feedback from peoplein the field - have any results been reported with other antibodies/lysates? Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

Background
Dysadherin (FXYD5) is a member of a family of small membrane proteins that share a 35aa signature sequence domain, beginning with the sequence PFXYD. This protein is a negative regulator of calcium-dependent cell-cell adhesion and is implicated in the biogenesis of microvilli.Synonyms: DYSAD, FXYD domain-containing ion transport regulator 5, IWU1
