- IgG
- Immunogen
- A synthetic peptide from the n-terminal region of human Synaptotagmin-2 (Synaptotagmin II, SytII, SYT2) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the antigen. The peptide is homologous in rat and mouse.

- Background
- Synaptotagmins, like SYT2, are integral membrane proteins of synaptic vesicles thought to serve as Ca(2+) sensors in the process of vesicular trafficking and exocytosis. FUNCTION: May have a regulatory role in the membrane interactions during trafficking of synaptic vesicles at the active zone of the synapse. It binds acidic phospholipids with a specificity that requires the presence of both an acidic head group and a diacyl backbone. SUBUNIT: Homotetramer. Interacts with stonin 2. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Cytoplasmic vesicle, secretory vesicle, synaptic vesicle. Cytoplasmic vesicle, secretory vesicle, chromaffin granule. Note: Synaptic vesicles and chromaffin granules.,Synaptic Vesicle Traffic,Synaptotagmin II, SytII, SYT2
