- Target
- SNRPD2 (Small Nuclear Ribonucleoprotein D2 Polypeptide 16.5kDa (SNRPD2))
- Alternative Name
- small nuclear ribonucleoprotein D2 polypeptide (SNRPD2 Products)
- Background
-
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the small nuclear ribonucleoprotein core protein family. It is required for pre-mRNA splicing and small nuclear ribonucleoprotein biogenesis. Alternative splicing occurs at this locus and two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified.
