Western Blotting (WB), ELISA, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin-embedded Sections) (IHC (p)), Immunohistochemistry (Frozen Sections) (IHC (fro))
    Specificity
Recognizes fetal cardiac actin. Represents an excellent marker for cardiac tissue, it discriminates fetal (cardiac) a-actin from all other actin isoforms. Shows no cross-reaction with other actin isoforms present in skeletal and smooth muscle, provided that stringent experimental conditions have been applied. Species cross-reactivity: Human, bovine, rabbit, chicken.
    Purification
    Protein G purified
    Immunogen
Synthetic N-terminus decapeptide of cardiac isoform of actin.

    Type of Immunogen: Synthetic peptide
    Isotype
    IgG1

  • Application Notes
    Approved: ELISA (1:500), IHC, IHC-Fr, IHC-P, WB (1:1000)

Usage: Suitable for use in Western Blot, ELISA and Immunohistochemistry. Immunohistochemistry: 1:10. Frozen and paraffin sections. Note: It is necessary to include 0.5 M sodium chloride in all washing buffers for application on frozen tissue. This is not necessary for paraffin sections. Western Blot: 1:1000 (using the ECL-enhanced procedure). ELISA: 1:500. Note: It is necessary to include 1 M sodium chloride for application in Western blot and ELISA to enhance specificity.
