- Background
- Serine/threonine protein kinase (At1g68830), known as STN7 in Arabidopsis, and its Stt7 homologue in Chlamydomonas, is required for LHCII phosphorylation and for state transitions in Arabidopsis and Chlamydomonas (Bellafiore et al., 2005, Bonardi et al., 2005). The loss of this thylakoid-associated kinase blocked stn7 (stt7)-deficient mutants in state 1.
