- Chickens were immunized with purified recombinant protein L (a cell surface protein from Peptostreptococcus magnus). After multiple immunizations in Freund's adjuvant, eggs were collected and the IgY fraction purified. Antibodies were immunoaffinity-purified from a protein L agarose column and conjugated to horseradish peroxidase.
