The prostaglandin D2 receptor is a Prostanoid Receptor that binds prostaglandin D2. Studies suggest that this receptor may be involved in vision, mucous secretion, myometrial relaxation, and asthmatic response. Prostaglandin D2 receptor has been reported to be expressed in human small intestine, colon (goblet cells), eye, and eosinophils. ESTs have been isolated from human brain libraries.Synonyms: ASRT1, PGD receptor, PGD2 receptor, Prostaglandin D2 receptor, Prostanoid DP receptor
