ELISA: In ELISA assays this reagent may be used as a capture antibody in combination with ABIN119407 as detection reagent. Western Blot: The antibody detects a 63 kD band in Western blots, representing the viral capsid protein. Immunohistochemistry on paraffin sections: This product requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections. This antibody may also be used in immunofluorescence techniques to detect viral infection, and has neutralising activity against feline calicivirus. Removal of Sodium azide is recommended prior to use in functional assays.
