ARHGEF7 (rho Guanine Nucleotide Exchange Factor (GEF) 7 (ARHGEF7))
    Alternative Name
    beta-Pix (ARHGEF7 Products)
    Background
Beta-PIX acts as a RAC1 guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) and can induce membrane ruffling. It interacts with PAK kinases through the SH3 domain. It may function as a positive regulator of apoptosis and is involved in cell migration. It is expressed with high levels in the central nervous system.
