- Granzymes are exogenous serine proteases that are stored in the cytotoxic granules of activated T cells and NK cells. GM4C1 was generated by genetic immunisation and reacts with human granzyme B (GrB), a 27 kDa serine protease which cleaves target-cell proteins at specific aspartate residues.
