Immunohistochemistry: 1/50-1/100 using polymer system or streptavidin-biotin system. Formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections and cell smears do not requireantigen retrieval. Positive control: Sarcomas, melanomas, Hela cells.
Other applications not tested.

- Vimentin is 57 kDa intermediate filament proteins in mesenchymal cells. It is attached to the nucleus, endoplasmic reticulum and mitochondria either laterally or terminally. Vimentin is important in the differential diagnosis of undifferentiated neoplasm.Synonyms: VIM
