Specificity: Recognizes myogenic soft tissue tumors and smooth muscle differentiation. Reacts on Cultured Cell lines, stress fibers of smooth muscle-derived cells and some smooth muscle subtype fibroblasts. Polypeptide reacting: specific for a-smooth-muscle isoform of actin (Mr 43000). Tumors specifically detected: leiomyosarcoma, leiomyoma, certain stromal cells surrounding infiltrating ductal carcinoma of breast. Species cross-reactivity: Human, bovine, equine, rat, mouse, chicken.

Immunogen: Synthetic N-terminus decapeptide of a-smooth-muscle isoform of actin.

Application Details

Application Notes: Approved: IF, IHC, IHC-Fr, IHC-P, WB

Usage: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other application not tested. Immunohistochemistry (Frozen and paraffin-embedded tissue requires protease treatment): 1:100 with PBS,  pH 7.4 Incubation Time 1 hr at RT, extended with paraffin.
